FEATURING IN THIS ANTHOLOGY:

Victoria Young - The Doll Boutique
There’s nothing healthy about a tan – Melinda had heard the warnings and frankly, being stuck in a cramped white coffin was not her idea of fun. But when she wakes from the solarium bed in a dusty prison cell, Melinda realises she’s gotten herself into a tighter spot than she expected.

Dragonness Wyverna - Fire Under Water
Humans have come to the desert, and with them comes death. The oasis has been an indestructible black rock and shelter for the Desharihn fire sprites for generations. But when a band of humans arrive to mine the rock, it is up to Fia, the last Rahar sprite, to save the tribe from the humans’ immutable greed.

A. H. Serrano - Conviction by Fire
Blessed with the power of fire, Lhii Fuéra’s duty is to protect, but in the aftermath of a murder, she’s the one placed on trial. As the daughter of a great general, Lhii soon realizes that justice matters little among the powerful, and she’s faced with a choice: Become the victim or blame the victim.

L. R. Huseboe - Flames of Green
Jaer and his Knight Commander Kae, wander the thick forest in search of information about their missing spy. What they found was a battle against their century-long enemy, the Shaedyn. Will they prevail or face the same unknown fate?

Kieran McKiel - Hummingbird
Far from home and missing his love, Marco is fighting a war to end all wars. When hope seems lost, a strange entity appears with an offer to help him survive.

A. A. Warne - The Masters of Fire
The Masters of Fire were once a powerful brotherhood, but now only two of their brothers remain in the free world. Will they be strong enough to liberate their kin from the clutches of the Mad King? Or will an uncomfortable truth unravel their master plan?

B. R. Storm The Harbinger
Since the beginning of Earth, Watcher has been tethered to immortality, waiting for the final soul to depart. The day finally comes and Watcher prepares for rest, but he’s confronted by the bringer of apocalyptic carnage.

Ilona Krueger - Song of my Soul
Always the realist, Felicity does not entertain anything that is unscientifically based. Her clinical assertions leave no room for magic and imagination. It is said, however, that Pride goes before a fall. And fall, she does. Is there salvation from the pit? Does she rise from the ashes? Is there hope for a new understanding?

Serena Dawson - A Spark of Courage
Prince Zabriel’s fire magic is weak, but Princess Maniela’s will to defy their cruel father is strong. Zabriel agrees to help his sister, and she leads them into a battle that will determine the fate and future of their kingdom.

Michelle Crow The Flame
When Momma Courtney shows up on Prudence's doorstep and draws magical wards to protect the house from an impending attack; Prudence's reality is thrown into chaos as she discovers she's the last Flame Keeper. Now with the entire village's lives in her hands, can she save them from the body-snatching Ifrits with her untrained powers?

J. T. Moriarty - Petals of Autumn
As the legendary dragon, Flallemin, sets its sights on Goblin Birchwoods, Wedina has an impossible challenge: train the entire tribe. While there are plenty of shields, there’s only one sword and Wedina knows it’ll take more than might to deal with the hungry dragon.

Also featuring:
R. A. Darlinge & Aörali Eden - Fated Shadows

What is something unique/quirky about you?

Adryanna - So, I hate attention, but I have no problem getting up in front of people to sing. I’ve been singing since I was five years old and have done everything from competitions to concerts with hundreds of people…but let someone say I did a good job, and I just want to disappear. I’m not sure this is actually quirky, but it makes me wonder about myself.

Amanda - My nickname from fellow writers is The Madame of Darkness. It’s not that I’m a naturally dark and twisted person, it just comes out when I think people are pretending to be nicer than they are. So when other writers present to be a character that’s not being true to themselves, I help them bring forth their true personalities but often I turn into what they call The Madame of Darkness. And of course, I totally own that.

Brandon - I have a bit of a collector’s/completionist personality. When I find something I enjoy, I’ll commit to it and its features wholeheartedly, such as the Kingdom Hearts franchise or comics. At one point, in 2017, I owned every edition of the Uncanny X-Men from 1963 to current and a massive heap of off-series first appearances, such as Wolverine in Incredible Hulk, and tie-ins. I then sold the collection to buy the house my wife and I currently reside in.

Brittany - I am a metaphysical junkie. I also have a fairy garden. When my flowers or herbs begin to wither or break, I always leave an offering to the fairies. Without realizing it, my kids have started doing the same… even my neighbor will toss broken dahlia heads into the offering pile...

Debi - I am a lucid/vivid dreamer, and my dreams are frequently EPIC. More than one story idea has been born from a particularly memorable moment in a dream. One of my most memorable dreams was of trying to keep Sephiroth (Final Fantasy VII) from murdering one of my friends. It was a strange dream with talking sandwiches and a penguin with a blue mohawk and an aviator’s jacket named Spike, but I was woken up before it ended. Still, it’s hard to forget such a penguin!

Ilona - As a child I hated my name, and I just wanted to have an ordinary name like my school mates. I wanted to wear school uniform so I looked like the others. I just wanted to fit in, to belong. My sandwiches were always black bread, a source of amazement and curiosity for others I didn’t know what meat pies, sausage rolls or tasty cheese tasted like, but ate my camembert cheese, salami and liverwurst sandwiches, thinking that white bread and jam were a luxury that I was missing out on.

Despite all this, I was never given to peer pressure. I realised that I was an individual who would not be led, and eventually I began to appreciate my given name, realising that I am me and I am happy to have my differences.

Jay - Sit down, pour a cup. I have had 15 pieces of cancer cut out of my arms and head, though all basal cell carcinomas - they’re a good version of a bad thing to get, as they don’t spread. I was literally born to an audience when my poor mother was asked “Do you mind if some med students witness the birth?” and after nodding yes 12 students poured into the room. I lost my last baby tooth only this year 2020 (and I will only confirm I’m in my third decade), as I have adult teeth missing. When the baby tooth wasn’t being pushed out by adult teeth they were “wedged in” by the neighbouring adult teeth. I can breathe with my stomach. I actually like my job, as my customers cheer me up. When I don’t write, I create Pathfinder roleplaying games for my friends. I am halfway through the Times Magazine 100 Best Novels list, but I find it very American focused, and has too many “good first novels” for my liking. I have 3 cats who all help in different ways. I will write until I die, and will do so even if I never make a cent from it.

Kieran - I don’t like odd numbers. No idea why. When I’m fiddling with the volume on something, I always have to round it up or down to an even number. When I was a kid, all the channels showing cartoons and kid shows were on odd numbers, and it just drove me crazy to have to stay on those channels to watch said shows. Weird little faux-OCD tic, I guess.

Laura - When I was younger, I used to display all the little horse figurines I had, setting them into family units, and gave them detailed backgrounds. This was before I discovered I loved to write. I’d have pages of written notes on who the mother and father was to a certain foal, and what kind of life they’d had growing up. Yeah, I was a bit lonely growing up being an only child, lol.

Serena -I'm crazy about trees. Big ones, small ones. And my bonsai, which is my way of taking trees with me when we travel. I love walking through the forest, especially barefoot. I suppose it was inevitable that I would write about a fantasy race who live in a forest, in houses grown out of trees.

I've traveled New Zealand for six years, exploring with my husband and three kids. We've built and lived in two different housetrucks in that time. A housetruck is like a cabin on a truck, a self-built RV, in a way. I love designing stuff, and being able to take our home with us everywhere is incredible.

Vicky - I love Tetris and I love gardening so perhaps it’s a slightly natural progression that my husband and I are trying toTetris in as many fruit trees into our small backyard as possible. We have a ridiculous number of trees for the size of the property but we’re working on keeping many of them pruned or espaliered. We tend to do a loop around the garden most days, just checking on the process of the fruit. It’s even so bad that I am excited about the olives fruiting despite the fact that I cannot stand olives.
