What was ytour inspiration for writing this book?
ReplyDeleteHi Carolsue, thanks for asking! I was inspired by my family history. When the ship, The Hopewell, was lost on a voyage to London, Thomas Mayhew, Sr., Governor of Martha's Vineyard hoped that his son had not drowned but had been captured by "Algerines," a term for pirates from the Barbary Coast. I always wondered, what if?
